Tinxy Warranty Policy

1. Warranty Coverage

Tinxy products are covered against manufacturing defects, as well as any hardware or software issues arising during normal use, throughout the applicable warranty period from the date of invoice.

2. Pickup & Shipping Policy

Within 1 Month of Invoice Date

If a manufacturing defect is reported within the first 30 days from the invoice date:

  • Tinxy will arrange pickup of the defective product at no cost to the customer.
  • After repair or replacement, Tinxy will bear the shipping cost for returning the product to the customer.

After 1 Month from Invoice Date

For any warranty claims raised after the first 30 days:

  • The customer must ship the product to Tinxy’s service address at their own cost.
  • Tinxy will bear the shipping cost for sending the repaired or replacement product back to the customer.

3. Out-of-Warranty Repairs

Products outside the warranty period are subject to:

  • Availability of spare parts and components.
  • Technical feasibility of repair.

Certain older products may not be repairable due to discontinued or unavailable electronic components.

Example:

Some Tinxy lock controllers older than 2 years use specific ICs (integrated circuits) that are no longer available in the market. Such products may not be repairable.

4. Exclusions from Warranty

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Power surges
  • Voltage fluctuations
  • Improper electrical supply
  • Physical damage
  • Water ingress
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications

Tinxy products are designed to operate on a stable 230V AC power supply. Even a very short-duration power surge can cause severe damage to internal electronic components.

Power surge damage is generally identifiable through visible signs such as:

  • Burn marks on the PCB
  • Damaged electronic components
  • Carbon deposits or overheating marks

Products found with such damage will not be considered under warranty coverage.

5. Final Decision

Tinxy’s technical inspection team reserves the right to determine:

  • Whether a product defect qualifies under warranty
  • Whether a product is repairable
  • Whether damage has occurred due to external electrical or physical causes

The inspection report provided by Tinxy shall be considered final.
